Will my application be rescinded for taking a different variation of my golden four course?
I reported to SDSU on my supplemental app that I would be taking Communication Studies 12, however the class was full at my community college, so I ended up taking Communication Studies 11. They're both acceptable classes to fulfill the golden four courses but I just want to make sure that this wont get my application rescinded. Thanks!

WPA testing
I totally spaced and forgot about the writing assessment altogether. I understand it's required to graduate but I came here seeking advice/tips if anyone has already taken it.
Should I schedule this summer, or wait until fall? Is the test done on a computer or hand-written? Also, does anyone have any tips?
By the way, I'm an accounting major who just transferred.

Help! How was the admitted profile this year compared to past years?
Hi there! I know that SDSU receives an enormous amount of applicants and had the most yet this year, but i was wondering if anyone knew the stats of how many people actually accepted the offer of admission for this fall? I know its a seperate issue, but it seems a lot of my classmates have been getting off the waitlist this year to CSU's and UC's. I'm gonna be a freshman and i desperately want to go to SDSU and am just trying to figure out if they're even going to accept people off the waitlist, and then look at appeals, including mine. I know appeals are only for special circumstances, for which i definitely qualify. I am majoring in anthropology. ANY INFO YOU HAVE ON APPEALS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED

SDSU Geology: What Are My Chances?
Hello All!
I'm applying to transfer to SDSU this Fall semester. I am nonlocal (took 3 transferable classes outside the San Diego area). After this summer semester I will only have 3 classes left to take. The Golden Four are complete and by the end of next spring, all my major prep classes will be taken that are available to me. I plan on majoring in Geological sciences with an emphasis in Paleontology. There are three major prep geology courses that I cannot take due to mesa, city, and miramar not offering them. I'm worried that will hinder my chances, especially since grossmont offers one of those classes. If I were to try to take that class it could only be during next spring semester, and I may not even be able to take it.
My current GPA is 3.6. My transferable GPA will be closer to a 3.4 if I continue getting A's and B's (which should be no problem). I have no experience in the field since I am both a full time student and a full time employee. I just applied to volunteer in the Paleontology department at the natural History museum in San Diego, but I may not get it (fingers crossed though!). Will volunteering help with my chances of acceptance to SDSU?
I will not transfer with an AD-T. There is one for Geology, but I spoke with my counselors and emailed the geology department at SDSU and both said that it would not be beneficial to my acceptance since the degree is only for geology and not for any of the emphasis's. So I will only be transferring with my grades alone. I'm hoping that if I can volunteer then that will boost my chances. I know SDSU is an impacted campus, and geology majors have around a 32% acceptance rate. SDSU is the only college in California that offers Paleontology as a BS degree, so this is the only college I will be applying to. But I am worried about my chances. I saw some people, from different majors, being denied with a 4.0 GPA. that is terrifying. But there was one person who was accepted in Geology with a 2.9 GPA and he was nonlocal as well.
What do you guys think? Do I have a chance?

How much would you recommend SDSU?
I recently got off the waitlist for biology, but I've already commited University of Redlands. SDSU was one of my top choices last fall
How good is this school in terms of opportunities, community, and grad school transfers? Is it worth turning back now?
I have until June 3rd to choose

AP Scores and Trasnfer
Hi!
I was wondering if AP scores are counted in the credit hours for transfer admissions. They say you need 60 hours, so would the AP's be counted in that, or is it ONLY transferrable college courses? I have over 30 hours of AP credit, so this would help immensely!
Thank you!!

Housing Suggestions
So I'm gonna transfer to SDSU this Fall, GO AZTEC! I thought about dorms but how much they charge is just outrageous... so maybe live off-campus? but I wanna be able to know more people and make lots of friends my first semester here. What would you guys recommend for some housing options?
When I went to CC I stayed in a 2b apt with my own b and shared ba so I kinda like having some privacy. My budget is around 600-700 and I have a car but I don't really know much about SD area.
Any thought or suggestions would be appreciated!

Best laptop for a computer engineering major?
I'm guessing Windows would be the best OS for the classes I have to take. How much computing power would I need? I'm currently using an Aspire SW5-012 which has decent specs for just browsing the web and typing things (2GB RAM, Intel Atom @ 1.33 GHz). Any programs I will have to run that would need more power? Thanks for any advice.

SDSU Appeals Fall 2016
Hey guys,
Has anyone heard back from SDSU appeals for this Fall 16'?
It's been way passed the deadline and I wanted to know if anyone else has heard back yet.

Housing and South Campus Plaza
Does anyone have an exact date for when freshmen find out what dorm they will be in next year? Also, SDSU said that South Campus Plaza would have the dorms finished in August 2016 and Trader Joes, restaurants, etc open in 2017. Now they are just saying 2017. Does anyone know when the dorms will be open? Also, the floor plan showed on the website looks like each dorm has their own private bathroom? Can anyone confirm any of these or has more details? Thank you!

ACT scores
Does SDSU (specifically school of nursing) accept ACT scores? Does anyone know the average ACT score accepted for nursing majors? I'm also confused as to whether or not they accept the science score. Do they only accept reading + math, or the full composite score? Thanks!

SDSU General Education Question
Can someone please explain what these statements mean?
1. No more than 12 units from one department can be used in
General Education.
2. No more than 7 units from one department can be used in
sections II and IV combined (Foundations of Learning and
Explorations of Human Experience), nor more than 10 units
from one department in sections II, III, and IV combined
(Foundations of Learning, American Institutions, and
Explorations of Human Experience).

Registration Date?
My orientation date is July 18th, but on my portal it says that my registration date is on August 2nd, after orientation for all students have passed. They said you have to pay the tuition and you must clear any registration holds if you want to register on your orientation date. I already paid tuition, and I'm not sure if I have registration holds. How do I check if I do?

What are my chances of getting into SDSU, CSUF and CSULB?
I'm starting my senior year of high school and im not completely sure of my weighted CSU and UC gpa at the end of my junior year, but it was 3.4 at the end of my sophomore year and i had a 3.8 gpa at the end of my first and second semester of junior year. I have 100+ hours of community service right now and should have about 200 hours by the time i graduate. I was also on the swim team for 2 years and got an ACT score of 26. I live in SoCal but not exactly in the SD area, i live in LA so i'm about 2 hours away from SDSU and 1 hour away from CSUF and CSULB. I am also a first-generation college student if that helps and i plan on majoring in criminal justice. Thanks!
